Once again we enjoyed our tapas at Goliat and this time added another couple of new ones to us, just to try out.
As we were on the La Marina Urb, we decided to go have some food and went to one of our ‘ go to places’ Goliat, up near the Dialaprix supermarket. The sun was out, it was warm and we got a table outside, in the sunshine. As ever, the service was bang on, super fast, super friendly and welcoming.
Yes, I loved the food again and just about managed to get through it all. I didn’t need to eat again that day, for sure.
What We Had At Goliat La Marina
Drinks
I had, as per normal my usual, a pint of draught beer, while Soph chose an Aquarius Lemon. She had a second during the visit.
Food.
Albondigas / Meatballs: # 10 on the menu
Lovely, fresh, plenty of rich tomato sauce. There’s bread too, ideal for enjoying all of the sauce.
Tortilla De Potata: # 8 on the menu
I wanted to give this a try to see how it is, boy I was not disappointed either. This was a substantial portion, very filling.
Pan Tomate Alioli: # 1 on the menu
Another dish we decided to try. There are some of the bars and restaurants we visit that do really nice bread baskets. This is now another one to add to our list. A great serving, very filling. You can’t beat warm, fresh bread with tapas.
Padron Peppers: # 12 on the menu
As great as ever, lovely sized portion, and plenty of salt. Beautiful and fresh!
Cazuela Chorizos: # 13 on the menu
Another new dish we tried, these were mini chorizo sausages in white wine. They were, hot straight out of the pan and had a nice heat in terms of spice too.
Chips Boniato / Sweet Potatoes Fries with Goats Cheese: # 22 on the menu
As before these were really nice, the sweet potato combined nicely with the cheese.
What We Liked Here
Without sounding clichéd or boring, it’s safe to say EVERYTHING.
What Could Be Improved
In their control, nothing at all. The thing here is that every time we visit, it’s always a faultless visit.
What It Cost Us Today For Tapas At Goliat
The bill for all six of our dishes and for our drinks came to €32.40 in total. My large beer was €3 and Sophs Aquarius Lemons were €1.70 each.
The tapas dishes ranged from €2.50 through to €6.50. with the Tortilla De Potata being the cheapest and the Chips Boniato / Sweet Potatoes Fries with Goats Cheese at €6.50.
Would We Return For Tapas At Goliat La Marina Tapería
Yes of course. It’s always great when we visit, so there’s no reason not to return for tapas at Goliat.
There are social media groups that suggest people try XX, YY or ZZ, which is great but what Soph and I have found is once you find a great tapas bar, such as here, Bar Sonia in Benijofar or Cantina in Rojales, then you are sometimes hard pressed to justify changing, on the off chance you may end up disappointed.
How To Get There
It depends which way you are coming into the area as to where it’s best to park. You may strike lucky and get roadside parking out front from Dos Mas or just along the road, but keep an eye out to make sure you are parking in an actual space. I mention this because the police stopped to issue a ticket to a driver, as they had parked their car ( it appeared ) outside of an actual painted parking space. Give her some credit, the white lines were barely visible, but as the old saying goes regarding the law, ignorance is not an excuse.
Their address is: Pl. Sierra Castilla, 61, 03177 San Fulgencio and this is their Google Maps Location HERE for reference to help you find Goliat La Marina.
