Lunch At Olea Benijófar

Lunch At Olea Benijófar

HeyDaveHere, February 5, 2026February 9, 2026

Today we had lunch at Olea Benijófar, and it was fabulous. We had been out all morning, had to pop into Benijófar for a meeting at 2.15, so we decided instead of nipping back home for a quick visit, just to drive straight through and have lunch out somewhere.

We drove through Formentera and had actually talked about stopping off at one of the places there for a menu del dia or even just tapas, but I’d mentioned to Soph about returning to Olea once again, seeing as we were heading to Benijófar.

What We had

We had the set menu, and for our drink we both had a Coke Zero.

Starters.

Soph and I both had the same starter of ham croquettes. Beautifully presented, tasty and hot. These were delightful.

Mains.

Soph opted for the vegetarian quesadillas, which she liked a lot. Tasty, a good sized portion and again, nicely presented.

My chicken in peppercorn sauce was really, really good. This was a proper chicken fillet, not the squashed flat, attempts some places offer up. This was in a tasty peppercorn sauce and came with skin on, hand cut fries.
The quality of the produce was evident here, in my dish.

Dessert or Coffee.

We both went for the dessert option, and we both had cherry cheesecake. This was a great cheesecake, a proper base and it was tasty.

What We liked

Professional service, great food and a good price for the meal. Every box ticked. The place is spotless, the bathroom was clean and fresh.

What Could Be Improved

Nothing needed any improvement, we both enjoyed lunch sat in shirt sleeves on the terrace in the sunshine.
