Just down the road from us is the Oasis Lagoon Park food truck. We’d seen them post on Facebook, and we decided we had to give them a try. So glad we did, truth be told. It’s more than a food truck; it’s a really nice place to go and sit, to have a drink and a bite to eat, too.
There’s plenty of parking here, and it is very easy to find. Do not let the thought of it being near to the main road put you off, as it really does live up to its name and is a tranquil little oasis with views of the hills in the distance.
With plenty of seating and umbrellas to give you shade, this really is a nice little place to get away. The couple who own it are very welcoming and friendly; they speak English, which is ideal for those who are not yet proficient in Spanish. They really have bitten the bullet to do something a little different, and their enthusiasm and passion for their venture warrant every success.
It’s a great place just to take a book, enjoy some chillout time with a drink, and let time pass by at a leisurely pace.
What We Had To Eat
I originally was tempted by a burger, but the idea of pork on the planche in a bocadillo made me change my mind. So I had a lovely lomo bocadillo with cheese. Soph went for the fresh pork in tomato sauce, similar to pork magra. Her dish came with a basket of bread, and she also had 3 of the small tapa-sized pieces of homemade potato tortilla.
Drinks were an Estrella Galicia for me and a Coke for Soph. We didn’t have dessert or a coffee, but as we were enjoying ourselves, relaxing, and kicking back, we opted instead for another round of drinks.
What We Liked
Super laid-back atmosphere, nice background music, and is very relaxing. The service was excellent and very friendly, and the food was superb. This really is a small oasis that’s away from it all.
The Oasis Lagoon Park is very clean and tidy, and the whole staging has achieved their desire to create somewhere to relax and be away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Another plus point is they have Estrella Galicia, too, ice cold. What more could a person want?

What Could Be Improved
Just one thing springs to mind: menus. This is a new business, and the menus are still being designed, so hopefully, when we next return, these will be ready. But to be honest, it really didn’t matter as there were no language problems in understanding what was available.
How Much Did It Cost?
Our visit today came to €19.00 for both of us. We didn’t get a receipt; our fault as we forgot to ask for one.
The total included for my lomo bocadillo with cheese, Soph’s meat in sauce dish, which came with bread and the 3 pieces of tortilla, and 2 rounds of drinks. So great value for money too.
Would We Return To Oasis Lagoon Park
Absolutely. This is a lovely place to kick back and enjoy a nice cold beverage or 2 or 3, along with some cooked-to-order food, while listening to some great music. We’ll keep an eye on their social media for any music events, too.
How To Find Oasis Lagoon Park
Head out from the Catral roundabout up the CV 909 until you come to the small roundabout before the flyover above the rail line and look for the truck stop. Take the 3rd exit, and you’ll see the signs on the right, as well as their car park and entrance.
If you’re coming from San Isidro, take the road towards Catral, and once over the flyover for the train line, take the first exit at the roundabout, and you’ll find Oasis Lagoon Park on your right-hand side.
