As we were in town and had an hour to spare, instead of driving back home we decided to stop off at Bar Cafeteria Tapas D’Dalia, Los Montesinos for a drink. It was a lovely sunny day, they have outdoor seating that is shaded, so we chose here to visit. There were 3 tables in use, all by Spanish men.
When you see Spanish blokes enjoying a beer chattering, laughing and joking, then they must be enjoying themselves. This is one of the reasons we opted to try out Bar Cafeteria Tapas D’Dalia today.
What We Had
Our intentions were to pop in, have a quick drink, chill and then make plans for later in the day. That kind of went out of the window.
Drinks
I asked for a bottled beer, and Soph went for a Coke Zero ( what a surprise, I hear Janet saying ) As mine went down rather swiftly, I suggested we had time for another drink, then as my tummy rumbled and I realised we might not be home much before 2 at the earliest, I needed some sort of food. So I ordered my second bottle of Mahou and tapas.
Tapas
My first selection was Boquerones, something I really do like, especially on hot days. Soph does eat these, but they’re not at the top of her favourites list, so I asked if they had magra, which they did.

The magra was tasty, lean and the sauce was nice. The Boquerones came with three olives. The bread for the magra was soft and fresh.
What We Liked
Super fast service, I was about to walk into the bar to order, while Soph grabbed the table, but there was a female talking to a couple of the older Spanish guys and she asked what I wanted, so I ordered drinks with her.
A different server saw my glass was empty, so came to clear the beer bottle and asked if I wanted another, so I then ordered that and the tapas.
Cutlery was brought out in a cover too, which is a nice touch.

What Could Be Improved
Not a lot to be honest, this is as close to an authentic Spanish bar as you’d get, although the owners I’m guessing by the name on the receipt aren’t Spanish. That aside, the customers here today were 95% Spanish, which tends to suggest if a bar is being used by the locals, it must be good enough. This in a town with at least 20 other bars to compete with, kinda speaks volumes!
How Much Did It Cost
The bottled Mahous were 1.50€ each, while Sophs Coke Zero was 1.80€ for a 33cl can.
Both the tapas dishes were the same price, 4.00€ each.
The total was 12.80€

Would We Return To Bar Cafeteria D’Dalia
Yes, we will be doing so, plus as they’re on the Los Montesinos tapas Route this weekend, we might be back sooner than we expected.

They’re number 12 on the Los Montesinos tapas route, just for your information.

How To Find Bar Cafeteria Tapas D’Dalia, Los Montesinos
We had come down the AP-7, off at the Quesada junction, but took the first right off the roundabout. Then the second exit off the next roundabout, so it took us up past Zoco Market and that was the way we went to Los Montesinos. So coming into the town, stay on the main road, all the way along, until on the right you’ll see the vets there and D’Dalia is to the left of the vets.
There’s very little on street parking, but you might fall lucky.
