After seeing this place being mentioned on social media prior to opening, we managed to book a table at Rodizio Restaurante in Quesada. I ate out back in the UK many years ago at a couple of good Brazilian Gaúcho style restaurants, and this is a concept I like.
I know we start off our restaurant reviews with the what did we have, but here it might have been easier to say what we didn’t have, there was so much goodness to try and savour.
We were seated on the terrace, so enjoyed the gentle breeze and the evening sun, with lovely views out over the countryside. I’m not someone who goes to a place specifically for entertainment and to be honest, I prefer to avoid entertainment where possible. We were, however, entertained by Pilar Gual on the terrace, and she was good.
One thing to keep in mind: If you book a table for 2, you have 90 minutes at your table before you’ll need to vacate it. We were a table of 3, and this allowed us 2 hours at our table, so larger bookings of 3 or more give us an extra half hour. Now, this is going to possibly raise eyebrows, but keep in mind: We were leaving our dining table long before the 2 hours were up, as we were full.
What We Had At The Rodizio Restaurante
Drinks
I had a pint of Amstel, Soph had water and my sister opted for a glass of tinto de verano, though this was listed as sangria on the bill
Sides
There’s a nice salad bar inside, where you take your dish from your table and go and select what you want from the salad station. This was all fresh and tasty, nice to find good beetroot too!
Brought to the table was a dish of potato bravas, a dish of rice, a dish of roasted cauliflower, then a plate with fresh bread and butter portions. There was aioli and chimichurri sauce to accompany the meal
Carved At The Table
Well, this was such a nice selection of food. We had throughout the evening the following:
Slow honey roasted gammon, belly pork, honey & cinnamon roasted pineapple, chorizo sausage, morcilla sausage. These were my favourites, truth be told.
We also had large prawns, rump steak, slow-roasted sirloin, lamb rump, garlic parmesan chicken thighs, and garlic bread. I apologise if I missed anything, as I was far too busy eating!

What We Didn’t Have
I’m slightly tongue-in-cheek here. We were offered desserts, including cheesecake and coffee to finish, but we were all so full that, as tempting as these were, we did, sadly, decline. This means we cannot comment on how good these were.
What We Liked At The Brazilian Rodizio Restaurant
Good food, great service, and an enjoyable evening throughout. The staff were very attentive. I also recognized one of the servers. He used to be front of house at a restaurant in another town, and he is a great guy. He is Spanish with an excellent grasp of English.
The venue was spotless, as were the toilets.
What is really good is their online booking system here, which is very straightforward to use.
What Could Be Improved
If I am going to be slightly picky, none of the offerings on the salad station were labeled. While I’m sure that a member of staff would be able to help in the case of allergens, it would still have been nice to know what everything was in advance, especially the dressings, which all looked quite similar.
Although it didn’t bother us at all, the advertised items were “fresh bread, olives, chips and garlic butter potatoes are also served when you arrive.” What we were served was a dish of potato bravas, a dish of rice, a dish of roasted cauliflower, and a plate with fresh bread and butter portions. So, although it did not bother us one bit, you might get a kickback from the really picky folks out there.
The tinto was expensive, over double the price we would normally pay in a bar.
From a business perspective, staff were proactive in asking if we needed further drinks, which is great. However, I was not aware they did cocktails, so if there was a drinks menu, I would have ordered one in all probability. We’d been out to another bar in town for a couple of cocktails before arriving here to eat, so an end-of-meal cocktail while listening to the singer would have gone down well.
How Much Was The Meal
The final bill was €69:95 including the three meals at €18:95 each.
My pint was €3, the water was €2 and the glass of tinto €6.

Would We Return To Rodizio Restaurante
Yes, for sure. The service was on point, the food was good and there was plenty of choice and plenty to eat. We’d actually be tempted to call in just for a cocktail, if we were in Quesada and happened to be passing by.
