Final Thoughts

One of the big downsides here is the lack of public transport. If you’re used to in the UK, having a 2-minute walk to a bus stop and the local bus passing every half hour, you are bang out of luck here. There are taxis, yes that is an option. But these can be scarce at times, especially in the tourist season.

If you are needing transport to the airport, I would book well in advance and consider a specialist airport transfer company to ensure you do not miss your flight.

Sunday is market day, with Zocco and Lemon Tree markets both open for almost everything you’ll need. Fresh fruit and veg are popular as it’s cheaper than local supermarkets. If you’re looking for a new leather belt, there are plenty to choose from. Plus, both of these markets have dozens of food stalls to grab a different breakfast.
