Cafe Madrid In La Marina

Cafe Madrid In La Marina

HeyDaveHere, September 28, 2025September 28, 2025

When we were down in La Marina last week at Jodies Dog Grooming, it was a toss of the coin as to whether we went to Cafe Madrid or The Chippy for lunch, on that occasion, the fish and chips won.

Fast forward to today, and we were back in the area and decided to stop off somewhere for a drink and as we had parked in the same area we chose Cafe Madrid for our place to visit. The place was busy, which considering it was 25th September, after noon was rather telling that this was a popular place and with staff greeting customers by name that it was a regular haunt for some too.

What We Had

There were the 3 of us today, so our drinks were a large coffee for me, my sister had a Tinto De Verano and Sophie had a Coke Zero.

The coffee as served in a nice, large cup and came with a biscuit. The coke was a standard can and the tinto was a large glass.

As it was lunchtime-ish and I don’t have breakfast, I decided to have a tostada and my sister followed suit and went for the same. This was a tomato, Queso Manchego and Jamon Serrano.

The tostadas were very good, super fresh bread, plenty of taste and ticked every box.

What We Liked

Service was very friendly and welcoming, staff were great, on the ball and all gave service with a smile. When our server came to serve the three of us, she cleared away the table and them wiped it down, prior to taking our order.

The tostadas came with a knife on the plate, a small pot of olive oil and both salt and pepper sachets to season, if required.

What Could Be Improved

There’s nothing that stood out as requiring improvement or attention, that we noticed. Everything seemed to run like clockwork.

What It Cost

For the 3 drinks and both tostadas, the bill was 13.40€. This is broken down as:

Drinks – My XL coffee was 2.50€, the can of Coke Zero was 1.80€ and the glass of Tinto De Verano was 3.50€.
The tostadas came to 5.60€ for them both, so 2.80€ each.

Receipt

Good quality food, nice priced drinks, combined with friendly service, what more could you want from a place?

Would We Return To Cafe Madrid

Yes, to keep it simple. They look to have a nice menu selection available as well as tapas dishes. The bocadillas and salads that were being brought out, all looked good and seemed to be going down well with other customers.

So, next time we’d possibly have lunch there or tapas depending on when we are there and the time. I’d also noticed just now on their Facebook page, they are going to be doing burgers in the near future, so this might be another option.
With plenty of parking options available, this is another big plus point.

How To Find Cafe Madrid In La Marina

If you know the area, they are a couple of doors up from Jodie’s Groom Room, so close to The Chippy too. There’s the small car park across the street, or the main car park up in Consum Square, which is easy to access, as there are the steps at the side of Cafe Madrid, that lead up to the square.

This is their address: Francisco de Quevedo 21, urbanización La Marina, San Fulgencio Alicante 03177 Alicante, Spain and you can get a route from Google maps if you need one.
