As we were in the neighbourhood, we popped into La Estacion La Marina for refreshments. Typically, it just started to rain heavily, but this wasn’t an issue as there was plenty of covered seating. Quick service from friendly and welcoming staff in a happy environment. What more could you really ask for?
So this isn’t one of our usual in-depth, detailed reviews because we only stopped for a drink. Then we got distracted/tempted by the cake offer of coffee and fruit crumble or coffee and bread pudding for €4.00, so we went for that.
I chose the fruit crumble and a cafe con leche. The coffee was good, and the crumble was flavoursome, with plenty of fruit which Soph says then makes it a healthy option!
Soph had tea and bread pudding. This was a really good pudding—moist but packed full of flavour, with a really good chunk of a serving, too. It was very, very good.
What We Paid
€8 in total was good value for money and very enjoyable.
La Estacion La Marina Menu
There are specials on the chalkboards and plenty to choose from. This was their Easter main course menu options.
They also host events nights too, from what we have seen and below was the menu from one earlier this year.
What I will say is the food shown on their Facebook Page looks very nice and we will definitely be back to have a meal there, be it a lunch or a midweek evening meal.
Getting There
Their address is : Alfredo Kraus, 2 – San Fulgencio, La Marina, 03177
Should you need to ring them: 865 77 72 55
Easiest way to describe where this place is, head up the hill and it’s on your left, but at the very top just on the junction where the tourist office is. We drive up there, take a left and then the next left to get to Our Plaice, for the fish & chips.
