We decided to drive out to admire the new roundabout, before the coach trips started turning up. After this, we went to La Terracica Benijofar for a bite to eat.
it was a lovely sunny day, although a bit of a nip in the air, but at least the sky was blue and the rain and hail from the day before had all gone.
Plenty of seating available on the terrace, so we took a table there. One of the staff came out straight away with menus.

What We Had At La Terracica Benijofar
Drinks
For a change, I had a Milkshake, the Chocolate & Vanilla sounded nice, so that’s what I went for. Soph had the usual a Coke Zero, but this was the small bottle size. My shake was quite enjoyable, although not the biggest, it hit the spot.

Food
As Soph had shown me their menu the other day, I said back then I’d try tapas. So I asked for a portion of padron peppers and a portion of Boquerones.

The padron peppers were fine. But I must admit, the Boquerones were great. These came with a tasty salsa dressing with fresh tomato, homemade bread, chili, stuffed olives, olive oil and fresh chives.

Soph said she liked the sound of the choice of wraps, going for a Chicken Tikka one. She ordered a side of fries for us to share. The fries came served with Padrón peppers, homemade aioli and La Terracica sauce.

The chicken tikka wrap was very nice. The bread had been lightly grilled, it was bursting with filling and the chicken tasted like chicken tikka. The chicken was tender, moist and very enjoyable.

It’s fair to say these wraps are quite substantial, so much so I ended up eating half, as Soph was full.
What We Liked About La Terracica Benijofar
This was our first visit but won’t be our last. Service was very good, with attentive staff who were very quick and efficient. The food was good, and everything we had, we both enjoyed.
There’s plenty of outdoor seating and shade there too, if you prefer.
What Could Be Improved
The only slight niggle would be the soft drink, 2.20€ for a small 237ml bottle is expensive. We had a 330ml can at Bar El Bosque Torrevieja and that was only 1.80€, only last week.
How Much Did It Cost?
The bill for our visit today was 32.20€ for us both.

Drinks.
The Coke Zero was 2.20€ and my milkshake was 5.00€.
Food.
Sophies chicken tikka wrap was 7.00€, the side of house fries were 6.00€. My tapas dishes were 4.00€ for the padron peppers and the delicious bquerones were 7.00€ for the plate.
Would We Return To
Yes we would return. The place is clean, tidy, a nice environment with good food and great staff. As Soph said, it’s a nice place to bring guests / friends, who we don’t think appreciate the proper, traditional Spanish tapas bars we prefer, where we are usually the only English speakers in the building.
How To Find Restaurante La Terracica In Benijófar
So, their address for their branch in Benisol is; Address: Benisol Commercial Space, Calle Alfonso XIII, nº 2, Local 3, 03178 Benijófar, Alicante.
If you’re coming in from Quesada along the CV-905a, going past the Mercadona supermarket ( on your right ) keep going straight and you will see the Benisol Centre directly in front of you as you come to the roundabout.
Now, if you’re coming via the brand new, shiny roundabout, then head up Av. Federíco García Lorca, go past Bar Sonia on your right, continue so you go past Hamiltons, then at the roundabout, double back on yourself, but take the exit that is to the right of the centre, as that is where there is a car park.
They have other branches too, but their Facebook page isn’t location specific, and it’s not all that active. Hopefully during the tourist/busier season they’ll be posting more.
