If you’re looking for traditional Spanish dishes, an affordable menu del dia, pizzas, burgers, mixed grill, salads, or something more, then Goyos Quesada has the menu for you. In fact there are several menus so make sure you check each one before making your choice!
We have eaten here several times, usually their menu del dia, but for some reason or another, we have not gotten around to doing a write-up.
Fear not; we have finally done one!
What We Had at Goyos Quesada
There were 4 of us visiting, and 2 of us decided to go for the mixed grill, which looked good value at €10 per head and then we added a side portions of onion rings. The ladies went for the menu del dia, which is a generous offering and included a starter, main, dessert, drink, and a coffee. For drink, I had a pint of the draught beer, Soph had a Coke, and the other drinks were a bottle of Bud and a fizzy lemon drink.
Starters
The starters ordered as part of the menu del dia were the Spinach Gratin ( Espinacas Gratinadas) and Mussels in Marinara Sauce ( Mejillones a la Marinera), and these came with a basket of bread. Both starters got a thumbs up, though the Spinach Gratin was a huge portion and couldn’t be finished without fear of not enjoying the next two courses! The mussels were in a tasty sauce that was perfect with just a little background kick to it.
Mains
As mentioned above, 2 of us went for the mixed grill, which was really good. The dish was filled with good-sized servings of meat, and it was nicely cooked; the chorizo was particularly good and was packed with flavour. This dish came with fries and a small side salad.
The other mains selected were fish and chips. This was a nice piece of fish and would have been just as enjoyable without the batter which wasn’t quite UK fish and chip ship standard but was still very tasty. The other main was the salmon, nicely cooked, generous portion and was accompanied by a small baked potato. The side order of onion rings was hot, fresh, and crispy and the perfect accompaniment to the grills.
Desserts
The menu del dia includes desserts and coffee, so a cheesecake and then apple tart and ice cream were chosen, both of which got full approval as the perfect end to the meal. The coffees were fresh and hot. Meanwhile, we guys went for another beer each instead of the dessert!
What We Liked at Goyos Ciudad Quesada
The wide offering of food is a real positive to this restaurant, especially when eating out as a group. This is the type of place where everyone will find something to enjoy, whether that’s a traditional Spanish offering or something a little more familiar.
The service, as ever, was friendly and prompt.
What Could Have Been Improved at Goyos
Nothing really springs to mind; perhaps this is why it’s one of the rare venues we have visited several times!
How Much Did It Cost?
For the four of us with two rounds of drinks, it came in at €64.90, which was a very reasonable price for so much food, and nobody left feeling hungry.
Would We Return To Goyos Restaurant Quesada
We have been several times previously, and we will return for sure.
