We had friends of ours across for three days and while we were out and about showing Richard and Caroline the area, we decided to stop off somewhere for a cold drink and then find somewhere for lunch. As they had both suggested they’d prefer somewhere Spanish, I said I know just the place, if we can get a table.
We called in at Daniela Cafeteria, where Soph and I have been many times and like the bocadillos there. The intention originally had been just a drink here, then onwards for a menu del dia somewhere.
So what did we have for our Daniela Cafeteria light lunch?
Drinks
Caroline and Richard both went for a tanque of draught, I being the nominated driver, just had a bottle of Mahou. These were quickly brought out to us and there was also 3 portions of Russian Salad brought out, as the free tapas. As we were being served, the couple on the next table were just being served their food, and it smelled lovely, so we asked for the menu.
Food
We all ordered a bocadillo, Richard choosing the Marinero ( Tuna and tomatoes ) Caroline opting for the Campero ( chicken breast with cheese ) while I went to the Chiquito, which I have had before and this is Lomo, bacon, cheese, lettuce and mayo. A portion of Potata Bravas to share made up the order.
The service was friendly friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent. The bread was ever so fresh, plenty of filling and very tasty. We were tucking in before I realised I hadn’t taken any photos, so I did manage one of my bocata, just for the record.

What It Cost
Tanque of beer are €3.00 each, the bottle Mahou was €2.20. The bocadillos are Marinero €4.50, Campero €4.80 and my Chiquito €5.50, with the Potata Bravas at €5.00. The bills came to €28.00 for the three of us.

Why We Like This Place
We have never had anything negative to say about here, all our visits have been really good. The service is always excellent, the food is superb and one thing I will say, the pricing here is honest. As you can see from the receipt dated 4th June 2024, the prices shown here are the same as on our previous write up about this place, which was back in September 2023, for the three items we ordered the same as that visit, namely the Mahou, Chiquito and Campero bocatas.
Granted it’s not the most picturesque views but then you could say the same for 99% of the bars and restaurants in the town and surrounding area. The food, service and atmosphere are great, it is easy to find plus there is a lot of free car parking, so what more could you want?
