Oscars Restaurant Ciudad Quesada Sunday Breakfast: A Good Choice?

Sunday morning, 10th September, we were driving into the town as we wanted the cash machine at the bank and we decided to try Oscars Restaurant Ciudad Quesada for a drink and breakfast.

It was a little after 10.30, and we even managed to get a parking space on the main street. At this time of year, everything is quietening down as most of the tourists have headed home, so getting that space is totally unheard of during the summer season!

We sat outside where there were several other tables already occupied, with some eating and others just having a drink. The couple on the table next to us had ordered breakfast, and their meals looked nice, well presented, and good sized portions. So we were definitely tempted to grab some food as well!

The guy who was serving asked if we wanted menus and came back with these.

We placed our order and waited. The drinks came out, but strangely, Soph had no tea bag in her mug. This was soon rectified, and an apology was made.


Now we waited, sat chatting and watching the world go by, and waited. We were listening to people being turned away, and we waited and heard other customers chase up their orders. The chap who was serving us did come over after about 35 minutes to say ours would not be long. So we waited some more.


He brought out a napkin for both of us; I got a knife and fork, while Soph was only given a knife.

What We Had To Eat

I had a bacon sandwich in brown bread with a mug of coffee. Soph had tea to drink with a sausage and egg butty in a bread roll. The bacon was really tasty, and Soph enjoyed her choice.

What We Liked

Service, although very slow, was friendly. This location is easy to find, too, and it’s close to the Sabadell ATM if you need cash.

What Could Be Improved

Service needs to be quicker, with improved communication. While we were there, there were at least 4 tables that arrived either as couples or groups of four and were told, “We are not doing food today,” so they left and went down the road to get breakfast elsewhere.


It would have been better to explain that you were very busy and there would be a 45-minute wait for food, for example, and why not offer a complimentary tea or water to these people?

How Much Did It Cost?

All in all, it came to €11.80 for both of us. My mug of coffee was € 1.80.

Would We Return To Oscars Ciudad Quesada

This is a toss of the coin. The food was decent, but the wait was far too long for a couple of sarnies. Had we both ordered the big full English, it could be expected to take a little longer.

There are far too many other options along the same street and places like Little Leias, a quick two-minute drive away, where we had a great breakfast without the delays we had here.

It could be that perhaps they were just having a tough day, which happens to all of us at one time or another. So, I would suggest going and giving them a go, perhaps checking before ordering whether there are any delays in the kitchen before you order.

How To Find Oscars Restaurant Ciudad Quesada

Oscars Bar and Restaurant is on the high street of Quesada. Through the arches, past the petrol station, and on the left as you go up the hill, about 50 metres from the Sabadell bank.
