El Rincon De Morales First Visit

Authentic And Impressive El Rincon De Morales

HeyDaveHere, September 17, 2025September 17, 2025

As we were on route to Los Montesinos, we decided to call in to El Rincon De Morales, which is the Barrio Los Perez side of the town, heading out towards San Miguel De Salinas. We have passed by here many times but never been in, mainly as they have been closed on the days we have gone past or we were on route to another venue. After visiting Bar Graciela twice recently, we drove out and past here, so we saw it was open and busy.

Our intention was just to call in, have a quick drink and a bite to eat then move on to our appointment. However, this changed slightly as we actually had well over an hour to kill the time.

We sat in the outside, covered terrace and I went in to order. As I came back to the table, I mentioned they had a nice range of tapas dishes available.

What We Had

Drinks.

I had a tanque, which came in a traditional British jug type of glass, Soph had a Coke Zero which was the large bottle. We later had the same again, just because we felt we deserved it and had time to kill.

Food.

We ordered a tostada each, and as usual we went with our normal options, so we can compare to other establishments.
Soph had the tostada con tomate, this was just as expected when it arrived.

I went for the same but with cheese and serrano ham and when it arrived I was surprised at how much meat there was on the tostada.

Yes, it’s fair to say we both really liked these, they were tasty, good portions and on nice bread.

Soph asked if I was going to try a tapas dish, so as she was twisting my arm, I went and asked for a Magra tapa. This was brought out with a basket of bread and we both said how good this Magra was. It was very tasty, clearly a homemade recipe and it had depth of taste. probably the best Magra I have had in recent months!

What We Liked

Not sure where to start here with this, as every box was ticked. The place was clean and tidy, with tables being cleared as people left. When our drinks were brought out, the server first wiped down the table and brought us a dispenser with serviettes.
Service at the bar was quick, friendly and with a smile.

The food was very nice, the Magra was great. They do a menu del dia, the board was prepared when we arrived, plus they have a good selection of tapas.
Even the toilets were spotless, very clean and fresh.

What Could Be Improved

I am struggling to find any negatives about here, it was a really nice, relaxed and enjoyable visit today.

What It Cost

For both of us for everything came to 21.00€.

The tanques of beers were 3.00€ each, the large bottles of Coke Zero were 2.00€ each.
Sophies tostada con tomate was 2.00€, which isn’t the cheapest, it must be said, the same applies to my tostada con tomate , jamon y queso which came in at 4.00€ but the amount of ham on there, justified the price of mine, I feel.

For the wonderful Magra tapas, this was 5€ and it was a good sized portion with bread.

Would We Return To El Rincon De Morales

Again, this is yet another when not if, places. Our next visit to El Rincon De Morales will be to try different tapas dishes, or possibly a lunch time menu del dia or their paella.

How To Get To El Rincon De Morales

This is easy to find for those looking for a bar / restaurant offering typical rustic Spanish cooking with little English spoken and everyone else in there is Spanish.

Come up from Quesada passing Zoco market on the CV-940 and at the roundabout instead of going to the left into Los Montesinos, carry straight across down on the CV-940 towards San Miguel De Salinas. The restaurant is on your left, they have a small car park alongside the building, enough for 10 or 12 cars. There appears to also be a large car park across the busy main road, but although we saw 2 different customers walk out and stroll to their cars parked there and drive away, I didn’t see any official car park signage.

Their address at El Rincon De Morales is; Barrio los perez, 14, 03187 Los Montesinos, Alicante.

They don’t have social media or a website, but they are on Google Maps, to help navigation.

Add El Rincon De Morales to your list of Spanish places to try, especially for tapas.
