Thursday morning and as the plasterwork was drying, we had no builders in, so we went out for a Cerveceria El Pantanico Breakfast. We really do like this place, it’s a great immersion as usually we are the only non Spanish there, which we love.
The big table of the old dears were just leaving, there were two tables of blokes, 7 on one and 6 on the other, all putting the world to rights. One word of warning, it does get louder and louder as the debates rage on.
What We Had For Our Cerveceria El Pantanico Breakfast
For the drink, we both went with a Coke Zero, these were the large bottles.
Then for food we ordered the BBQ breakfast, and a salad to share. The salad was a Murcian Salad, lovely, fresh and tasty, which came with a basket of bread. We knew there was going to be a wait for the BBQ, as she’d mentioned that when we ordered, so not a problem.
We’d finished the salad and bread, then our BBQ was brought across and the server asked if we wanted more bread, so we said yes.

The meat plate was great, everything had flavour, it was seasoned and all cooked fresh on the BBQ. Tender, lean meat and sausages, straight off the heat, what more could you wish for?

What We Liked
The service was polite and friendly, there was only one server working and she was like a pocket rocket, grafting non stop, yet still giving service with a smile.
The food was excellent, as it always is here.
What Could Be Improved
Nothing. This is a once-a-week breakfast, and it is popular! What we like too, is once we leave, there’s no need for lunch or food until evening dinner.
What It Cost
For both our drinks, the salad, the BBQ, and the bread baskets, came to a total of just 20€
Would We Return For Another Cerveceria El Pantanico Breakfast
Yes, we like this as a nice change of scenery, and it’s a great place, which is very popular with the Spanish. It’s over 2 and a half years since we first came here for breakfast, and the fact we are still enjoying it, speaks volumes. This is a very busy bar, especially for the BBQ, which is only available on a Thursday morning between 10 and 11, but the staff have everything under control.
How To Find The Bar
