We returned for the Costillas Locas Flamenco evening. We’d been recently and taken my sister on the Friday and she loved it. As Sophs mother was coming across, we decided to book again and take her, for a couple of reasons. First of all we enjoyed our previous visit but secondly, she had mentioned she’d never seen a Flamenco performance. This was a chance to kill two birds with one stone.
Due to our table ( number 13 ) being where it was last time, I saw very little of the actual show. This time we were on table number 11, but this was the same table just set out landscape as opposed to portrait style. As there was just the three of us, this table set up worked well. I’m, not sure if my previous feedback here, contributed to this, but I’ll take the credit anyway.
The Flamenco Itself
This was the most soul-stirring, fiery, intoxicating, electrifying, captivating performance I have seen for a long time. The young lady displayed heartfelt and dramatic passion in her performances. She was enchanting to watch, very expressive as she told the stories through her movements of the dances.
The young guy was most exhilarating in his performance, he smiled throughout and appeared to really enjoy himself. The third guy who does the backing music and vocals was very good too.
The Singer
On our last visit, as I was unable to see him, I thought it was all recorded singing, until later on when we walked around while singing. This time I sat mesmerized as he played the guitar and then began to sing. This was a wonderful performance to begin with.
Later on he sang once again, Nessum Dorma which was superb. Starting out using the microphone, he then placed it back on the stand and carried on signing without the need for a microphone.
The Food And Drink
As much as this sounds secondary, it was very enjoyable.
I just had a pint of San Miguel to drink, then a couple of coffees later on. Soph and her mum had 3 Coke Zeros and a coffee between them. We were served a lovely amuse-bouche, of tortilla with garlic and mushroom.
The food was bread basket with butter portions, then a sharing platter as our starter, which was wonderfully presented and very nice.

For our mains, I went for the Costillas Locas Burger, which I really enjoyed, the goats cheese added flavour. Sophs mum had the cheese burger which she really liked while Soph went for the ribs, as she had done last time.

We didn’t have a dessert, as we were all so full.
What Did It Cost
The total bill was 81,75€.

The service was very good, staff worked hard and made it a nice evening. We were offered a chupito when we asked for our bill.
Thoughts On This Costillas Locas Flamenco Evening
A great atmosphere, however it would have been better if some of the rowdy guests, had been more considerate and shut the f*ck up while the performances were on. If you want to talk loudly to your friend across the table, instead of trying to talk over the music or the singer, why not go outside into the car park.
Would We Return For A Third Costillas Locas Flamenco Night?
Actually, yes we would. This was quite a different performance last night. the woman included a fan and also castanets in some of her dances. The Costillas Locas flamenco evenings are twice a week and get booked up quickly.
