Med Bar El Raso

The Med Bar El Raso: Definitely One to Revisit!

HeyDaveHere, September 18, 2023September 18, 2023

We’d seen a few bars and restaurants along the road, some tucked away at the entrance to the urbanisations and The Med Bar El Raso was one we found time to visit on 12th September. It was a lovely hot summer day, and as there was a parking spot just outside the door, we decided to check them out.

There were a few tables outside already in use with people having food or just drinks. We had already eaten, so this was just a drinks visit.

They have a good selection of cocktails, and also they have a nice range of bourbons. At 6 euros a go, this looked to be great value, so I did ask if they could make an Old Fashioned, and the guy behind the bar said he would be able to make me one: next time we are here, I’ll have to try one.

What We Had

As I said above, we just stopped for a drink, so Soph had her usual Coke while I went for a pint of draught Guinness.

What We Liked

Very welcoming and friendly service, and my Guinness was great. It was a very nice pint, well pulled, and it tasted superb. The table was clean, and the whole area looked tidy and well-maintained.

Our drinks were brought out, and we were also given a dish of nuts and nibbles as a tapa, which is always a nice touch.

What Could Be Improved

Zero, zilch, nada, in all honesty. There was nothing negative about our visit here at all: friendly staff, good drinks, and a clean and welcoming terrace. I’m not sure there is much more we could ask for!

How Much Did It Cost?

The round was just €6.00. Sophs coke was €2, and my draught Guinness was €4, which was really good value and much cheaper than many other places in the area.

Would We Return To The Med Bar El Raso

We have said we will return as we’d like to try out the food there, plus I will have to sample another couple of pints of the black stuff. Oh, and an Old Fashioned, of course!

How To Find The Med Bar El Raso

Head out from Ciudad Quesada as though going to Guardamar on the Av. de Málaga/CV-895, and at the roundabout, turn onto the urbanisation and loop back at the first roundabout you come to, and the bar is on your right.

You can visit the Facebok page for Med Bar El Raso, for more information on their offering.
