Cafeteria Heladeria La Ibense

Cafeteria Heladeria La Ibense For Sunday Coffee

HeyDaveHere, May 6, 2026May 6, 2026

There’s something nice about a quiet Sunday morning, lovely warm Spring sun and the chance to have a coffee or even breakfast, sat out in the sunshine. This is what our visit once again to Cafeteria Heladeria La Ibense, offered us. It is the weekend of the π…πžπ«π’πš 𝐝𝐞 𝐀𝐛𝐫𝐒π₯ 𝐝𝐞 π‚πšππ«πšπ₯ and the weather was ideal. We watched the parade of the horses and then listened to the young children on the roundabout doing their singing.
We were joined by friends who happened to be walking past, and they had a drink with us, and the two and a half hours passed very quickly.

What We Had

Soph ordered herself a Coke Zero and a tostada of tomato and tuna. I went with a cafΓ© con leche and a tostada with tomato, cheese, and ham. We both had the same drinks again, while we were eating. Our friends Mark and Faye arrived, and both had a Coke Zero. Then, I had a third coffee while Faye had a cafΓ© con leche too.

Sophie’s tostada was great, loads of tuna, nice flavour, and these each came with a salt and olive oil sachet. Mine was very tasty, plenty of good quality ham and cheese.

What We Liked

Good coffee, really nice tostadas, fast and friendly service. These types of days are how Sundays should be enjoyed.

What Could Be Improved

This is another of these visits where everything was on point, nothing to comment negatively here. We’ve been here many times over the years and never had a bad experience.

How Much Did It Cost

Today the total was 21,30€ which was for both our tostadas, for four cafΓ© con leches, and also four Coke Zeros.
The breakdown is:

  • Tostada with Tuna: 2,50€
  • Tostada with ham and cheese: 4,00€
  • Coffees: 1,70€ each
  • Coke Zeros: 2,00€ each

Would We Return To Cafeteria Heladeria La Ibense

We like it here; we’ve never had bad service, so this is a yes. When we have had family across, we have usually called in here for ice cream at some point. Being able to watch the Feria De Abril parade was a bonus today.

I like the Irish Coffees they do here, if I’m feeling indulgent, I have the whipped cream on top too.

How To Find Cafeteria Heladeria La Ibense

Literally, this is next to Dia supermarket, their address is: C. la PurΓsima, 61, 03158 Catral, Alicante and it’s 3 doors up from The Bombay Indian restaurant.
