Tommys Bar Benimar

Tommys Bar Benimar: An Awesome Breakfast!

HeyDaveHere, May 4, 2024May 4, 2024

For whatever reason, we have never written a review about Tommys Bar Benimar despite calling in countless times, either for a quick drink or something to eat or when we attended the Nutty Boy Chris Packett’s ska music night last year.

Today, we were in the area and were going to the charity shop to see what books they had, but as they were closed, we called into Tommy’s. Despite being quite early, several people already had a morning brew, so we ordered a tea and a coffee and were asked if we wanted the menus to look at – a fatal mistake!

What We Had Tommys Bar

Drinks

A tea for Soph and I had a white coffee. What’s great here is that the drinks are served in a proper mug, not the tiny thimble-sized cups some places serve, and two sips and it’s gone!

Food

Soph decided to try the veggie breakfast, which is a fried egg, two hash browns, a veggie sausage, baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, and a slice of toast.

I went for the large full English, which includes two bacon slices, two sausages, two fried eggs, two hash browns, mushrooms, baked beans, tomatoes, and two slices of toast. I then added some black pudding.

We both enjoyed our breakfasts and cleared the plates, but we were full afterward; there will be no need for lunch today!

What We Liked At Tommys Bar Benimar

Very friendly service and it was lovely to see the chef dressed in orange fancy dress to celebrate the Dutch Kings Day, but still managing to provide quick service and really good and filling breakfasts. The place is spotless, and the toilets are clean and fresh.

It was really nice to see that the staff knew the regulars who were coming in for a morning brew and with a couple of dogs in the outside covered area, it looked to be a popular stop-off after walking the four-legged members of the family.

What Could Be Improved

Nothing at all! We have yet to come here and ever have any issues which makes it a safe bet to recommend or take visitors who are yearning for a taste of home.

How Much Did It Cost For Breakfast At Tommys Bar Benimar?

The bill for our drinks, breakfasts, and additional items came to €18.80. To break it down, the mugs of tea and coffee were 1,70 € each. Then, my large breakfast was €7.95; the black pudding was €1.50 extra and Soph’s veggie breakfast was €5.95.

Would We Return To Tommy’s Bar In Benimar

Yes and we have taken friends here who also said how nice it was. This was the bar we started the tapas trail route last year, as they were open and we had parked close by.

Nutty Boy Chris At Tommys bar Benimar

As I mentioned earlier, we had a great night with Chris Nutty Boy packet when he played there, partly as this is my type of music from my youth but there was a good crowd there too.

How To Find Tommys Bar Benimar

If you know Benimar, then they’re easy to find. Come down from Benijofar, drive past the MaccyDs on the right, come off the roundabout, over the small bridge, so the park is on your right, and you’ll see the bar directly in front of you on the right-hand side of the road. They had a small car park outside, but they are just across the pedestrian crossing from the large car park. Their details are on their Facebook page, as are their menus and event information.

Their address is Calle Aneto 2, Benijófar, and they’re next door but one to the SAT Animal Rescue charity shop.
