On this page we’ll ( attempt to ) keep you updated with the numerous 2024 tapas routes and events plus other similar events that are happening throughout this year.
You’ll find it’s often an issue in Spain that things are publically announced by the town hall, such as the upcoming dates for events, then silence until a week before the event is due to take place.

Croquette Week in Torrevieja 2024
From Monday 13 to Sunday 19 May 2024, we will enjoy the 4th Edition of ̈Croqueteando por Torrevieja ̈
7 days to try a variety of croquettes

On this occasion, the Torrevieja hospitality association once again promotes “La croqueta” as a very traditional appetizer that is made by hand in many restaurants in the town.
International Tapas Day Torrevieja 2024
On Saturday, September 28, 2024, the 7th edition of International Tapas Day will be held in Torrevieja
Claimed to be the most international tapas route in Torrevieja.
Bars and restaurants in the town offer Tapa + drink for € 3.50. The serving/opening times are going to be 12.00 noon until 16.30, then restarting at 19.30 until 23.00.
Benijofar Tapas Trail 2024
Details to follow, but hopefully it will be as good as last years, which we loved.
Benijofar Tapas Wheel 2024 dates are the 4th, 5th and 6th of October!

Ruta De La Tapa Catral 2024
Details to follow here also, but we loved the 2023 event.
This year it is the 19th and 20th of October.

8th International Tapas Day Torrevieja
Saturday 29th of September and for just one day, try some great dishes at this wonderful event. Get more details here and add to your diary!
Yes, we managed to get to this one too. Read the reviews of the excellent restaurants and bars and see photos of the wonderful tapas we were served here. There were some really nice dishes here.
Torrevieja Winter Tapas Route 2024
Once again, the streets of Torrevieja will be filled with people going out for tapas in this winter edition of the Ruta de la Tapa 2024.
- From 7 to 17 November 2024 (Thursday to Sunday)
- Local bars and restaurants
- Opening hours: from 12 noon until closing
- TAPA + DRINK = 3,5€
Done & Dusted Events
El Raso Tapas Route
This was held in April, the 11th – 14th and we had it covered here.
Dénia Tapas Route
Another one we learned about at very short notice, running February and March.
Nerja Tapas Route 2024
This event ran from April 8th through to the 21st, there were 15 bars and restaurants taking part.
Los Montesinos XIII Ruta De la Tapa
This was a great event and was the week after the El Raso one.
Formentera Del Segura Tapa Trail
This one took part over the Friday 26th, Saturday 27th and Sunday the 28th April 2024.
