We are back from The Pines where we had another awesome lunch. If you want good, honest food, cooked to a high standard then this is a place you must visit. We loved it here in April so much we knew this was a place to bring our monthly lunch get together group. There can be anything between 10 and 16 of us, so The Pines was ideal as it offered the ability to accommodate us as a group plus great food.
Today there were 11 of us, we had rebooked and pre-ordered our choices for starters and mains.
The service was brilliant, Sherrie was on the ball, everything came out correctly and as the drinks orders kept being sent in everyone was well looked after.
We started off with the bread and the most wonderful alioli with tomato.
Our group had pre-ordered and this is what we had selected from the menu.
My personal choices were the blue cheese and bacon quiche, which I have had before, and loved it this time too. My main was the cajun pork, which I have had before and loved it then, so went for this and it was a good as the previous time.
Soph went for the Stuffed Pepper option for her main and those who had this loved it, commenting on how tasty it was.
Desserts were very good, I went for the Jam Sponge with custard, not something I would usually order in 35c temperatures, but boy it was good. The custard was exceptional, none of the packet stuff here!
What We Liked
General consensus was the food was excellent, the service superb and the atmosphere was fun.
Would We Return
At the drop of a hat! We have never had anything negative here, the service and food have always been really good. We have known friends who have been here after reading our review and loved it.
This is their evening menu for tomorrow, if we were not at a friends house for a get together tomorrow evening, we’d most likely have gone to eat here.
If you are wanting good quality ingredients, cooked to a high standard by a proper chef, then this is a place you must visit. Every time I see their menu, I look and think ” that sounds really nice ” for at least 1 starter and 1 main. Compare this to some places where it is the same old, same old, boring menu and you have to force yourself you choose something, for the sake of it. Here at the Pines, I have to toss a coin to decide which I want from each course, as there are such great dishes available.
Please do follow their Facebook page and if you are in there you will be more than happy with the food that Steve the chef prepares for you. The levels and depth of flavours is great and you can see the attention to detail in the dishes.
It is ever so easy to find, despite not being on the main road through Benijofar.
Put their name into your Satnav or their address which is Plaza de Inmaculada Concepcion , Benijófar.
Come from the AP7 along the CV 920, then at the place where the road turns to the right near Oasis bar, follow the road around to the right, up the hill along Av. Federíco García Lorca.
On the left you’ll see Calle Doña Paz, which is sign posted to the town hall, take this left turn up the slight hill. Pines is located just on the left where the small row of shops is.
