What We Had
After seeing their Silverstones 2023 Thursday Menu Del Dia advertised on Facebook, we decided to give it a try. We’ve had breakfasts here a couple of times and enjoyed them, plus we also enjoy the fish and chips from Tuck Inn chippy.
Drinks.
I had a pint of Guinness, which was so enjoyable I squeezed in a second. Soph had a Coke Zero to start abd during the meal moved onto an Aquarius Lemon
Food.
We both had the same starter, the Beef koftas with a mint dripping sauce. These were home made, slightly different shapes and sizes, seasoned and tasty.

Mains, yet again we both chose the same, the homemade Haddock, lemon and parsley fishcake with chips , peas and tartar sauce.

Again these are clearly homemade, they differ a little in size and shape and they were big! Served with garden peas and home made chips, these were very generous portions. Hot, tasty and fresh, what was not to like.
Desserts, we chose differently. Apple strudel with custard for Soph. This was a filling portion too, hot and fresh and she enjoyed it.

I went with the chocolate brownie served with vanilla ice cream, which was really nice. The brownie was moist, tasty and combined well with the ice cream.

What We Liked
The service was excellent throughout, the lady serving us was welcoming, friendly and carried out a checkback with each course. After our main, and me laughingly commenting how good yet filling it was, she asked if we wantted to wait a while before dessert, another nice touch.
What Could Be Improved
The only thing really was the lack of a recipt. Everything else was just as expected.
What It Cost For The Silverstones 2023 Thursday Menu Del Dia
Our total bill was 34.60 € which we break down as food being 10.90€ each, so 21.80€ . The drinks therefore being 12.80€ we are guessing at being my Guinness at possibly 4.40€ per pint, Sophs soft drinks being 2€ each.
Would we Return To Silverstones 2023
Yes, we would. On the table when we arrived were printed afternoon tea promotions and order forms. This is a wonderful idea, you preorder what you want, per person and therefore are only paying for what you enjoy and order. I personally detest cold egg, in any form. Quite often on afternoon teas you get a cold egg sandwich as part of the set menu.
