The San Miguel De Salinas ruta de la tapas is almost upon us. The 14th of April sees the 2024 tapas route get underway.
At the price of €3.50 for a cana and a tapa there will be plenty of interest, as guests can sample the delights at some of the participating bars and restaurants.
This date clashes with the El Raso Tapa Trail final day and the dog show, unfortunately.
So, if you’re planning on attending, a quick reminder of the start time which is: Sun. Apr 14, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. have a great afternoon!
Why We Love The Tapas Routes
In a nutshell, there are 2 main reasons. The first one is we are more than happy to venture to other towns and villages, to explore new bars and restaurants and sample the quality of the food and the service. This then means if we enjoy what we experience, we are more likely to return at a later date and have a meal there. These events are ideal for the restaurants and bars to showcase what they are capable of producing.
The second main reason is to support local bars that we do already visit. There are chances for these venues to be able to offer new dishes, to customers who might only ever pop in for a quick drink, while passing.
Actually, this gives the chance for newly opened restaurants and bars to get noticed. It’s amazing when we visit a town or village and they have a main street with say 8 bars on the route all on the same street, but tucked away in the little side street or square are another couple of hidden gems, that you’d possibly otherwise miss, if you hadn’t known they are there.
