This was a long overdue return to Urban Coast down in Quesada. As we were in town, I said to Soph “I fancy a nice cold drink, but not beer, so a milkshake is required.” This is a bit of a treat for me and one of the few places I have found before that makes delicious and refreshing, tasty shakes is Urban Coast.
Almost a year to the day since we first visited, we returned yet again. We have called in just for drinks a few times, when we are in the area, and really enjoyed their afternoon tea event they hosted.
What We Had
I knew we’d not get there before 12.30, so the breakfasts were off the list of possibilities. We just asked for the menu and said we’d both pick a new dish to us and have different options.
Drinks
Yes, I had a milkshake and because here you can mix and match what you have I decided ‘sod the waistline’ and went for a Salted Caramel and Peanut Butter combination. Soph had a Coke Zero and she managed a second while eating. The taste of the shake was amazing; a cold, gooey, thick heaven and it was great to have something different from what’s on offer elsewhere.

Food.
My choice was the Triple Treat, the 3 mini tortillas, which were beef curry, sweet chilli chicken and chilli con carne fillings. These were so tasty, fresh and full on flavour. The food was beautifully presented and the aroma hit you as soon as the platter was placed in front of me.

Soph went for the Meatball Marinara Baguette. Boy this was huge, it was tasty and it was very filling. The salsa dip with it was exceptional, it was full of flavour, the tomato really was tasty. The depth of flavour was great and the perfect accompaniment to the rest of the dish..

Now, because we weren’t sure on the portion sizes of these two dishes, we also ordered Loaded Handcut Fries, with the cheese and bacon. These were lovely, nicely seasoned, plenty of topping and very, very moreish. To be honest, we probably didn’t need these, but we did enjoy them and just about managed to finish them off too.

What We Liked
This is a place that isn’t just your run of the mill, same old, same old menu. Here they have healthy options, decadent options and everything in between.

The food today was delicious, it was colourful, it was freshly prepared, it was jammed packed with flavour.
The server was brilliant, she knew the menu inside and out, she was very friendly and welcoming.
What Could Be Improved
Again, I’d say there was nothing today that needed improving.
What It Cost
The bill for the food and drink was 30,10€.
The breakdown is as follows:
My milkshake was 5.00, Sophs Coke Zeros were 1,80 each. For the food, my Triple Treat board was 7.50, Sophie’s Meatball Marinara Baguette was the same price, 7.50 and the shared side of Loaded Handcut Fries were an additional 6.50.

Would We Return To Urban Coast
It’s another place that is a case of when, not if. We’ve never been disappointed in any way, shape or form when we have visited. The menu has plenty of different items on here, it’s not the bog standard egg and chips stuff you still see in some bars and cafes out here.
How To Find Urban Coast In Quesada
They’re easy to find if you know Quesada. Come into the bottom of the town, Mas Y Mas is on your right as you go up the hill, but you turn left just at the Arches. This is the road that also takes you to Quesada Bowling and Quesada Mini Golf.
This is their address: calle Los Arcos 17 , Ciudad Quesada, Spain
Should you need to call, the number listed is: 633 59 40 63.
What I also like here is Darren is active on their Facebook Page, with new additions to the menu and with details of the events that they host.
