It was a lovely Saturday, just gone noon, and we decided to try out some Havana Ole Tapas, washed down with a drink or two. We haven’t been since they extended the outdoor seating area.
There’s plenty of outdoor seating to watch the world go by, and the odd boy racer down the main drag. Alternatively, you can go inside and savour the excellent coolness of the air con.
Despite it being 32c plus we opted to sit outdoors, as there’s plenty of natural shade and there was also a little bit of breeze too, which was an added bonus.
What We Had
Drinks.
Soph went for her usual, a Coke Zero, while I had a tanque of Radler, as I fancied something refreshing.
The drinks came out first, before we ordered the food. These were served with a small dish of olives and also frutos seco, which were complimentary.

Tapas.
I ordered 3 dishes, Pork Magra, Salchichas ( sausages ) and also a Spanish Tortilla.
First out was the Spanish Tortilla, a nice portion, complete with a piece of bread each.

Next was meant to be the Magra, however, we got something different in a good way. This was a pulled pork tapas dish, Michael did tell us the name, but I forgot it.
This was one of those times when the food is so good, that you kind of block out everything else. For that I am sorry, I do not recall the name of this dish, I do recall him saying it is on their menu.
This came with a basket of bread, it was delightful. The pork melted, the flavours were there, deep but nothing overpowering. I would order this as a main course any day of the week.

The Salchichas came with fries, 3 nice sized sausages and plenty of chips.

What We Liked
Drinks come with frutos seco and olives, which is really nice touch. Also, instead of the can of coke being placed on the table alongside the glass, the can was opened in front of us, poured to the half glass measure. Again, a really nice touch, in the scale of things.
The price for what we had today was really good value for money and thoroughly enjoyable.
What Could Be Improved
There was nothing at all. As the breeze dropped, it became warmer, but we were told they’re looking at the possibility of installing some fans for the outdoor area, to provide a bit of breeze and also looking at water mist as another option too.
What Did It Cost For Havana Ole Tapas & Drinks
The bill was 20€, a nice round number. This was for two drinks each and three tapas dishes to share.

Drinks.
Coke Zero, these were the standard sized cans, 300ml at 2.00€ each. My Radler tanques were 3.50€ each.
Tapas.
Pork Magra, Salchichas and the Spanish Tortilla were all the same price, just 3.00€ per serving, which I think is very good value.
Would We Return
Yes 100% we will return. The price for what we had today, the level of service received was really good value for money and it was a really enjoyable visit, once again.

This is one of those places we call into, but because we have been a few weeks before, we never bother doing a write up. We have eaten here several times and also called in just for a drink many more times.
How To Find Havana Ole
It’s a piece of scale to find, especially now they have the expanded seating area.
Their address is 78 Calle la Purísima, 03158, Catral, and it’s directly across from the Hiperber supermarket, which has parking places right outside the door.
Heck, there is even a pedestrian crossing there, too. Their details are all on their very active Facebook page, and they update their menu on there daily too.
Try the Havana Ole tapas offering or their menu del dia, one lunch time.
