You should give Enreo Restaurante Catral a try if you have never eaten there before. This is a step up from some of the Spanish typical menu del dias we have had over the years out here.
You know when a bar or restaurant is full of locals, who are happy, laughing and enjoying themselves, then the establishment is doing something correctly.
What We Had At Enreo Restaurante
Drinks
I said as we were being seated we were going to have the lunch menu, so Soph went for a Coke Zero, I asked for a small beer, as part of the lunch offer. I later had a lovely coffee Bombon to finish off the meal.

Salad and Bread Basket
We were brought out a house salad to share, along with condiments of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and salt.

There were also fresh rolls brought out, these bread rolls were warm.

First Course
I’d seen boquerones fritos on the menu and loved these when we lived down in Granada, as we used to get these on a Friday when we had our Tapas Friday adventures. The ones today came with a few hand cut chips and some delightful onion strings and also sweet potato crisps.

Soph went for huevos revueltos, which has aubergine, mushroom, red & green peppers in the dish. This was served with a very light, fried pastry type accompaniment.

Second Course
We both went for the same option here, the paella. As soon as the plates were placed on the table, the wonderful aroma wafted up and hit your nose.
Really nicely flavoured, plenty of meat and this was a good dish to eat. Judging by the number of others eating this, it was a popular choice all round.

Dessert
The waiter started reading out the list of desserts, he started with “tarta de queso” and before he could get the next word out, I had replied ” Si “. He went on to list 2 or 3 other options including melon and fresh fruit but I had switched off by then. Soph decided to copy me and she also chose the cheese cake.
Theis like the other dishes, was very nice. It was well presented and tasted as good as it looked.

What We Liked At Enreo
Excellent service, very welcoming, friendly and patient while I was ordering in my mediocre Spanish, but everything was understood.
The decor inside is tasteful, it wasn’t what we expected. This is a restaurant but charging cafe prices.
What Could Be Improved
The only thing I’d suggest would be the business cards, as they are almost unreadable as they are. Once their website is up and live, I’m hoping there will be all the information you need on there.

How Much Was Lunch At Enreo Restaurante Catral
The lunch menu comes in at just €13 each, which consists of a salad, bread roll, first course, second course then either a dessert or a coffee.
My coffee Bombon was only €1.40 and was perfect just to finish off my meal.

Would We Return To Restaurante Enreo Catral
Yes we would, the food was good, the service was friendly and welcoming, plus it is local to us. Today we were the only non Spanish in there and it was blissful.
How To Find Enreo Catral
So according to Google their address is listed differently to the one of the receipt.
Google say Address: C. Sta. Barbara, 69, 03158 Catral, Alicante.
Getting there is easy enough, come down the main street in Catral, ideally find somewhere to park before you get to On foot, through the lights to the one way section of C. la Purísima, go past Bar Venitian on your right, then when you come to the junction where the ice cream parlour is across from Pizzería -Kebab Manolo, turn right down the small one way side street and walk past the butchers and take the first right.

Or cut down the side of Ovi Pizzeria then take the left and you’re there. So if you’re walking down the left hand side of the road, at the crossing, walk across the street and carry on straight ahead, down the side of the pizza restaurant.
