Today we ventured out into Rojales to the Bellissimo Restaurant at La Marquesa Golf. Soph had seen their post on Facebook promoting a Christmas Afternoon Tea and as we had nothing booked in for this Friday, the 28th we decided to book.
This is actually the first of these types of afternoon teas we have got booked in, so we were looking forward to this one.
The offering was 9 delicious hot & cold Christmas themed tapas, beautifully presented on afternoon tea towers (inc glass of cava) for 18.50€ per person and is available between 12.00-15.00. We’d booked in for 13.00 and there were already several people there.
What We Had
This was an afternoon tea of Christmas themed tapas.
Drinks.
We both went for the glass of cava, which although not being my drink of choice, was enjoyable. The pomegranate seeds added to this drink.
I also had a Coke Zero too. This was a small bottle, and I was offered ice and lemon. I did decline the ice, it was a bit nippy both inside and out.

Food.
Cranberry and horseradish sauces were also brought out to accompany the savoury dishes.

Savoury Tapas.
There was a homemade mini Yorkshire pudding, with roast beef, parsnip and carrot. This was lovely and the gravy just added to this one.

Next I had the Christmas sausage roll, which was fresh, warm and very tasty with just the right balance of spice.

My next tapas was the turkey on stuffing, with a pig in a blanket topped off with a Brussel sprout. Again, this was lovely and tasty with the turkey tender and moist.

Gammon on a roast potato and a piece of pineapple was my next one.

Goat cheese and pear was the next one. This was served on brioche and the bread was delicious.
The final savoury tapas was croquette served on tortilla.

Dessert Tapas.
We each had 3 different sweet tapas.

There was chocolate orange mousse which was very light. The next was a double stacked mini profiterole, topped with a raspberry. Finally was warm Christmas pudding served with cream. This was wonderful, I really enjoyed this.
What We Liked
Super staff, very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Everything was brought out and explained to us as to what the dish was, which was good.
What Could Be Improved
Nothing on the day, but the need to have to drive across to pay a 10€ deposit each was a bit of a pain in the behind. Soph rang to book, they took the booking over the phone, mentioned the deposit (hey, we don’t have a problem paying a deposit) but she was told it needed to be in cash. Fast forward a few days later and she does the 20 minute each way to pay a tenner in cash.
What It Cost
The bill came to 39.50€ in total, so on the day we paid the 19.50€ as they already had the 20€ deposit. The tapas afternoon teas were 18.50€ each, so the Coke was 2.50€.

Would We Return To Bellissimo Restaurant
Yes we would, based on the food and service today. Their menu has some nice looking dishes on there, including a blue cheese burger, chili mango chicken and also crispy belly pork!
They have a nice looking menu including cocktails, an easy reserve online option or by phone.

How To Get To Bellissimo Restaurant • Gourmet Pizzeria • Lounge Bar
They’re at La Marquesa Golf, the complex just outside of Rojales town centre. We came through the town, weaved down the back streets and drove past where Fireclay used to be, then took the right, where the petrol station is.
Follow the road until you see the shops and bars on your left.
Ring to book on: +34681930911, they are active on Facebook and you can book via their website too.
Their address is: Quesada Ballester 1 local 9, La Marquesa Golf, 03170 Rojales, Alicante. Again it’s easy to see on Google Maps, if you’re unsure.
