Bar Casa Pepe Los Montesinos

Bar Casa Pepe Los Montesinos

HeyDaveHere, May 29, 2025July 1, 2025

This is our Bar Casa Pepe in Los Montesinos visit. Yet another place we have never got around to visiting until now. Sadly they don’t take part in the tapas route events, which is one reason we have never got here before.

Fast forward till today, we were back in town and had visited a bar a stones throw away and this was our second and final stop for today’s outing.

You don’t need to sit watching Tik Tok or other garbage on your mobile phone, the parrot provides enough entertainment.

There is nothing fancy about this place. It’s one of those places which does exactly what it says on the tin, traditional Spanish bar.

What We Had

Drinks.

I had a tanque of mahou, Soph a Coke Zero, which was a can.

Yes the beer was served in a Magners glass, but it wasn’t Magners!

Tapas.
The Magra was the first one ordered. We both thought it had a little bit more taste than the previous one at the bar Café Tambalache.

I could not see any boquerones so I asked for the fish, which I think is Caballa, which I eat at home. As you can see, these were nice and meaty pieces. This was very enjoyable, if like me you enjoy fish.

Bread was served in a basket, a decent sized portion.

What We Liked

Prompt service, nice cool outdoor seating area. The toilets here were clean and tidy, at the time I visited.

What Could Be Improved

For me doing the write ups, I’d like to be offered a receipt. Also a menu with prices.

Dave In Spain Sorry no receipt here

What Did It Cost

Our bill here today was 9€. I handed over a 20€ and got 11€ back.
So, rather like our visits yesterday, I am purely guessing here the actual prices.

Drinks: A tanque possibly 3.50€, a can of Coke at 1.50€.

Tapas: For ease of working out the maths, let’s say both were just 2€ each.

As I say, the bill was 9€ in total, the breakdown above is pure guesswork.

Would We Return To Bar Casa Pepe Los Montesinos

Actually, yes we would do so. It is a nice, small, friendly bar and it is affordable. There’s not a huge amount of outdoor seating, but that is just one of those things.

How To Find Bar Casa Pepe In Los Montesinos

Their address is listed as av del mar 104, Los Montesinos, Spain, 03187. They do have a Facebook page, but it’s typically another one that doesn’t get updated that often

If you’re coming via the AP-7, stay on it until you reach Exit 745 for Algorfa (CV-940). Take that exit and at the roundabout, take the first right.

At the next roundabout—by the fuel station—take the second exit. Continue straight, heading uphill past Zoco Market.

Follow the CV-940 and then the CV-945 until you reach Los Montesinos, turning onto Calle Via Augusta.

As you head downhill, you’ll come to a roundabout—take the third exit onto the CV-945. This takes you into Los Montesinos town. Your destination will be on the left, just past Bar Cafetería Tambalache.

For ease of parking, park next to Bar Tambalache and take the 50 metre walk.
