Sunday Lunch At Alberto's Grill House

Sunday Lunch At Alberto’s Grill House – YUM!

HeyDaveHere, October 20, 2025October 20, 2025

We decided to venture out for a Sunday lunch and went to Alberto’s Grill House. As we know they get fully booked quickly, we booked this weeks ago, so be warned. Snooze you lose!

As we were a little early, we managed to get parked more or less outside the door. As soon as we walked through the gate, the lovely aroma of food cooking was there, to make your mouth water.

Alberto's Grill House Sunday Menu

What We Had

As we had arrived a little early, we ordered a drink each at the bar and went out onto the terrace to enjoy the Autumn sunshine.
Drinks.
I had a pint of Moretti while Soph had a half of draught Kopparberg cider.

Food.

Starters.

I went for the chicken satay skewer, which came with a very nasty Asian slaw on the side. The chicken was very tender, the sauce not too overpowering, but the flavours were great.

Soph had the Smoked Salmon and Prawn Cocktail. She said it was good and exactly as described on the menu but it missed a wow factor, and I won the first round for picking the best dish!

Mains.

Road beef for me, although I was initially tempted by the trio of meats option. Soph went for the roast pork.

The Yorkshire puddings were home made, they were big and they stand out on the plate. The piped mash potato was partially hidden by roast potatoes, stuffing and meat.
Sophs pork was very tender, tasty and had crackling served with it, that was cooked just right.
I have 4 generous slices of beef and this was beef with taste. The vegetables that come with this included; peas, carrots, cabbage and swede, but also added as an extra, the cauliflower cheese.

Desserts.

Soph had told me on the drive down, she was going to try the crumble. I’d looked at the menu and had talked myself into the pancakes with toffee sauce and ice cream. My plan though, went out of the window when one of the servers taking the order for desserts mentioned the dessert of the day was cheesecake with a chocolate sauce. I then ordered that, instead. The drizzle of chocolate sauce was just enough to add a little flavour, without detracting from the cheesecake itself. The chocolate piece in the top was a delightful not bitter dark chocolate.

The apple and cinnamon crumble was excellent, it was as Soph said, ” a real crumble”

What We Liked

Very enjoyable food, prompt and friendly service in a nice environment.

What Could Be Improved

Nothing major here but perhaps a reminder to staff that when they’re inputting details into the ordering system by the bar, the tables close by can hear everything being said. Not sure what had happened but a string of profanities was not quite what we expected to overhear.

What It Cost

The pint of Moretti was 5.00€ and Sophs half of Kopparberg was 2.50€

We both had the 3 course Sunday lunch, which is 19.95€ each as a base price. The salmon and prawn cocktail starter that Soph had was an additional 2.50€ and the cauliflower cheese was an additional 2.50€ with the main course.

So the final bill came to 52.40€ for a splendid Sunday lunch.

Would We Return To Alberto’s Grill House

If we were in the area, we would do so, either for a Sunday lunch or to try their weekday menus.

How To Find Alberto’s Grill House

Their address is : Calle Isla Menorca 3A, La Regia, Orihuela Costa, 03189, Alicante. This is just down the road from Browns restaurant.

We basically went through Torrevieja and down the N-332, following our Satnav.

They are active on Facebook, so check them out there.
