No withdrawal fees at Revolut Spain ATMs

Revolut Spain Launches Sleek New ATMs

HeyDaveHere, June 5, 2025June 5, 2025

June 2025 saw Revolut Spain announcing changes that can only make people happier.

If you’ve been using an ATM in Spain lately, you’ll know it can feel like stepping back in time — fiddly buttons, awful exchange rates, and sneaky fees that show up after you’ve taken your cash. But that’s about to change, big time.

Look, I’ve banged on about dodgy ATM fees in Spain for years now – you know, those sneaky charges that appear when you’re trying to grab some cash for the market, or when you’re stuck explaining to a confused tourist why their “free” withdrawal just cost them fifteen euros. Well, Revolut Spain has basically said “sod that” and launched their own cash machines. And honestly? It’s about bloody time.

Say hola to the brand-new Revolut ATMs, now rolling out across Spain — and they’re nothing like what you’re used to.

🏦 Spain Gets First Dibs

Spain is officially Revolut’s first market to get their own ATMs. Starting with 50 brand-spanking new machines in Madrid and Barcelona, they’re planning to expand to up to 200 across the country, including hotspots like Valencia and Málaga. These aren’t tucked away in dark corners either — they’ll be in busy, easy-to-find locations, and you can track them in your Revolut app with a handy map (opening hours, directions and all).

💸 No Fees, No Fuss

Here’s the bit that’ll make your wallet sing: Revolut Spain customers can withdraw cash with zero ATM fees.
Yes, really. No matter where you are in Spain, if you use one of these new Revolut ATMs, you won’t be stung by charges — and the withdrawal won’t count towards your monthly free limit either.

Need euros from your UK Revolut account? No problem. You’ll get the same cracking exchange rates as you do in-app. No more dodgy conversion fees from other banks or having to hunt for “fee-free” ATMs with your fingers crossed.

Revolut Spain cards

✨ They Don’t Just Look Good – They Do More

The ATMs are proper smart-looking machines with a big 32-inch touchscreen (yes, really). Fast, clean interface, no faffing around, and contactless-enabled — meaning you don’t even need your card on you to get cash out. Just use your phone.

What’s more, you can even grab a physical Revolut card straight from the machine. Whether you’re brand new or just lost yours on the beach after one too many sangrias, you can get a replacement card in seconds. No post. No waiting. No hassle.

Limit one free card per customer, by the way — no stocking up!

🧠 Designed for 2025, Not 1995

Revolut’s reimagined ATM is built with modern living in mind. There’s:

  • Multi-language support (ideal if you’re new to Spain or just visiting)
  • Accessibility features like adjustable displays
  • Top-notch security – full encryption, and facial recognition coming soon

It’s basically everything the old-school ATMs wish they could be.

🌍 Not a Customer Yet?

Even if you’re not (yet) part of the Revolut gang, you can still use the ATMs. You’ll pay a small, competitive fee, but it’s still better than what most traditional banks charge. And better yet — you can sign up on the spot, right there at the ATM, and get your free card in the same moment.

No app downloads. No waiting. Just tap, register, and go.

📉 Spain Loves Cash – But It’s Time for a Smarter Way

Over 60% of in-person payments in Spain are still made in cash. Whether you’re buying your veggies at the local market or grabbing a café con leche at a roadside bar, cash is still king. Revolut gets it — and now you can get your euros quickly, safely and without getting fleeced.

Plus, nearly 5 million people in Spain already use Revolut, thanks to smart features like local tax tools, in-app savings, and built-in Bizum support. So if you haven’t joined yet, now’s probably the time to ask yourself: why not?

The Money Bit (This is Where It Gets Good)

For Revolut customers:

  • Zero ATM fees. None. Nada.
  • Proper exchange rates, not the tourist-trap rubbish
  • Withdrawals don’t count against your monthly limits
  • Works with your phone if you’ve forgotten your card (because let’s face it, we all have)

For everyone else:

  • Still cheaper than traditional ATMs
  • Can sign up for Revolut right there and then
  • Get a card immediately, no waiting around for the post

🧾 What You Get with a Revolut Spain ATM:

✅ No withdrawal fees – at Revolut Spain ATMs
✅ Free instant card – one per customer
✅ Real-time FX rates – better than most banks
✅ No limits – doesn’t eat into your monthly withdrawal allowance
✅ Contactless or card-based – use your phone or your plastic
✅ In-app locator – never wonder where the nearest ATM is
✅ Accessible, multi-language & high-security

🚀 When’s It All Happening?

The rollout kicks off from 4 June, with ATMs appearing across Madrid and Barcelona first, and more arriving soon in key cities throughout Spain.

So whether you’re a local, a digital nomad, or just popping over for the sun and sangria, you’ve now got a smarter way to handle your cash. We use Wise and N26 as well as Revolut Spain services.

Fancy giving Revolut a go?
You can sign up in minutes — and now, you don’t even need to wait for the post. Just find a Revolut ATM, get your card, and off you go. Cheers to that!
