Olea Restaurant In Benijofar

Olea Restaurant In Benijofar – Fabulous

HeyDaveHere, October 15, 2025October 15, 2025

After doing the tapas route in Benijofar, we decided to give Olea Restaurant in Benijofar a try. Their tapas dish was pretty decent and while we were there, we had a chance to look at their menu and saw one or two dishes that we’d not see elsewhere. The one that really caught my eye was the canteen curry dish.

So fast forward to Tuesday 14th October 2025 and as we have a really busy week ahead, we decided to go out for an evening meal and chose here.

This was one of the best curry dishes I have had in Spain since we went to the now closed Fireclay in Rojales, which I loved.

What We Had

With so many tempting dishes on the menu, which I think is a ploy to get you to return, we both ordered a drink, starter, and a main. At the end we both also had a dessert, although we didn’t need it.

Drinks.

I had a pint of draught Estrella while Soph had a Tinto De Verano.

Food.

As I say, the menu here is varied but has plenty of tempting dishes, but I had already decided on my main, in advance.

Starters.

I had the Chilli chicken, which is marinated chicken strips, sweet chilli, lemon, soya sauce sprinkled with sesame seeds. Very nicely presented, tasty and a nice start to the meal. It was a toss of the coin though between that and the Coconut prawns with mango dip. That is my starter for next time!

Soph had the Mushroom masala wine bruschetta. Wow, this was nice, the subtle flavour of the masala wine just added that little extra to this dish.

Mains.

The Canteen Curry was my choice, I asked for it hot. This was a really nice sized portion, came with a large popadom and a bowl of rice. You can have this as a chicken or lamb dish, I went for the lamb.
The lamb was ever so tender, you do not need to use a knife. The curry was exceptional. It packed flavours and it really was enjoyable.
The presentation was great, it was colourful and the aroma was amazing.

The Caribbean prawn and chicken skewers with pineapple bbq sauce was Sophs choice and she had chips with it. Lovely flavours, tender meat and the chips just added to the dish.

Dessert.

We were both quite full, but as we had so enjoyed the food so we wanted to see what the desserts were like, just for research purposes.
I went with the Tarta de queso y cerezas, which was really good. Tasty, a really nice biscuit base and this was not your run of the mill cheesecake!

Chocolate brownie was Soph’s choice. This was warm, served with ice cream, but it could have been a smaller serving, to be honest.

What We Liked

The food was fabulous, the service on point. After our starter, the young lady who cleared the table asked if we wanted to move straight onto the main course or wait a short while. It’s not all that often, you get asked this in Spain.
The servers all worked well as a team, all were friendly and welcoming. You can’t beat service with a smile. Another huge plus point was that you got a checkback for each course.

Soph went to the restrooms and these were spotlessly clean, she told me.

What Could Be Improved

There were absolutely no negatives about the food, the location, or the service at Olea Restaurant last night. This is a well run restaurant.

What Did It Cost At Olea Restaurant

The final bill was 72,25€ for dinner.
This is broken down as my pint was 4,00€, Sophs glass of Tinto was 3,50€.
Food was:
Starters – My chilli chicken was 8,50€, Sophies Mushroom masala wine bruschetta 7,95€

Mains- Sophs skewer was 17,50€, my Canteen curry came in at 16,00€

Desserts- Chocolate brownie 7,90€, Tarta de queso y cerezas 6,90€.

Would We Return To Olea Restaurant

Of course we would. I like the sound of their Pork and port main course, grilled pork topped with blue cheese and port sauce. However, one of the staff walked past with a dish that the aroma caused us both to stop chatting to the staff member who was taking the payment, and we asked what it was. We were told it was their Sizzling lamb jalfrezi dish, so that might be another option.

How To Get To Olea Restaurant In Benijofar

If you know the area, they’re on the corner directly across from Squirrels and El Mondo.

Their contact details are:
Address: C. Aneto, 1, 03178 Benijófar, Alicante. Phone: +34 966 71 26 45 WhatsApp: +34 631 08 31 42

What I like is they have a great website with the menu on there and plenty of other information. They’re also on Facebook, but this isn’t updated daily.
