Cafe Madrid La Marina For A Lovely Lunch

Cafe Madrid La Marina A Lovely Lunch

HeyDaveHere, October 23, 2025October 23, 2025

As promised the other week, we returned to Cafe Madrid La Marina for a spot of lunch, and yes, I did order what I said I would after I had seen on their Facebook page their new burgers. We had only been here a couple of weeks earlier and enjoyed our visit in September.

We timed it perfectly, as there were a couple of parking spaces across the road in the small car park as we were driving up the street, so that was the decision made. Park the car and call in for some food.

What We Had

As I was driving today, I had a Coke Zero to drink and Soph actually had something different; she had an Aquarius Lemon.

For our food I went for the Kill Bill Burger, with a side of fries., Soph went for a McFly sandwich and had this with sweet potato fries as a side.

The burger was lovely, good quality meat, full of flavour and really enjoyable. Soph really enjoyed her McFly sandwich; this was succulent and the bread was lovely. As she commented to me, “there’s nothing worse than ordering what sounds like a nice tasting sarnie to have it served in the cheapest, nastiest bread” which is another reason she really enjoyed this sandwich.

What We Liked

Friendly, welcoming service with a smile. The food was very nice and there was a nice ambience. The food was cooked to order, so wasn’t out in a matter of a couple of minutes, but the wait was not an issue at all.

What Could Be Improved

Although they have menus available and specials and tapas and cocktails listed on the chalkboard wall, I’d love to see their Facebook page updated at least weekly with their food offering. This actually applies to most bars and restaurants, by the way.

What It Cost At Cafe Madrid La Marina For Our Lunch

Our Cafe Madrid La Marina bill for our lunch came in at 27,20€ and as you can see we did get a receipt!

Drinks

My Coke Zero was 2,00€ while Sophs Aquarius was 2,20€, for the same sized can.

Food

My Kill Bill burger was 12,50€ and the fries an additional 2,00€. Sophs McFly sandwich was 10,50€ and the sweet potato fries 3,50€ extra.

What It Cost At Cafe Madrid La Marina For Our Lunch

We bumped into friends a couple of hours later and mentioned where we had been what we had eaten and was asked the price. They then commented that you can both have a menu del dia, for the same price.
Yes, you can, but here is the thing. Often on a menu del dia, the dessert might be a scoop of icecream, not something I’d order. It depends on where you go as to what the starters are like, etc etc. So yes you can sometimes get a 3 course lunch for the same price as this was, but on this particular day we were in the area, we had agreed previously we’d return and I really fancied a burger!

Oh, I left feeling full too, as did Soph.

Would We Return Again?

Yes indeed, either for a lunch or depending on the time of day, possibly for tapas next time, but the menu has some nice things on there and the food we had today was nice.

How To Find Cafe Madrid La Marina

Their address is Francisco de Quevedo 21, urbanización La Marina, San Fulgencio Alicante.
A stones throw from Jodie’s Groom Room, which is to the right of here a few doors down.

It’s a short stroll from Consum Square with steps down from Consum Square carpark, which brings you out next to this establishment.
