The very easy to find Bar Tambalache Almoradi is just across from Mercadona. As we were on the way to calling in there for some urgent supplies, I suggested we pop back into this bar, as we’ve not been for a long time ( maybe 18 months or so). Please don’t ask why we waited so long, I really cannot remember the reason.
I think last time we were here we just had a drink and a tostada, so we decided to have the same again.
What We Had
Soph ordered, and she had a Coke Zero, this was a standard 33cl can. I decided to have a tanque of beer from the tap, as Soph was driving. The Coke was served with a glass with ice, my beer came in an old fashioned jug, pint glass.

For the tostadas, Soph had a tostada con tomate, while I had a cheese and Serrano ham one.

We both really enjoyed our tostadas. They came on a plate, lovely, hot and fresh, but what we really did like was that they were neatly cut in half. Quite often, these come out and we need to either go and ask for a knife, or I often just eat it whole.

What We Liked
Fast, friendly service despite us being the only none Spanish in there, there was a really nice, authentic feel to the place. There’s seating outside, either in the sun, under the shade or inside is plenty of seating and it’s nice and cool.
What Could Be Improved
Based on the food, drink and service at this visit, nothing to improve upon, except I would have preferred to get the receipt when paying.

What Did It Cost
We did not get a receipt offered, but the bill was 7.20€. So, what I am doing here, is the same as with other places we visit with no visible prices / menus and where we don’t get a receipt, pure guesswork.
My tanque of beer we guessed would be 2.50€. The can of coke we think may be 1.80€. Sophs tostada con tomate at 1.20€ meaning my cheese and Serano ham tostada may have been 1.70€, but this does add upto 7.20€.
As I say these are pure guess work, but would be a decent guess, I think.
Would We Return To Bar Tambalache Almoradi
This is a 100% positive yes. While we were there I said to Soph that they have a nice selection of tapas, so I’d want to come back sooner rather than later to try the tapas. Then, following on from that, look to return yet again for a menu del dia to complete the full set.
How To Find Bar Tambalache In Almoradi
Their address is Avenida Comunidad Europea número 4, Almoradí, 03160. On the town hall website they have a phone number listed as being: 86 568 86 47. Keep in mind, I’m not sure if the staff speak English at all, if you do ring.
Follow AP-7 to CV-91. Then from the AP-7, take exit 740 toward Almoradí/Rojales/Guardamar/Daya Nueva. So coming from Alicante direction, it’s the second main exit off the roundabout, continue on CV-91. Drive to Av. Comunidad Europea in Almoradí. ( If your satnav picks up the tiny dirt tracks, you will be told to “A”at the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto CV-91”, but you’ll see the main road straight ahead of you.
Follow this for 2 km. Take the CV-935 exit toward Algorfa/Almoradí (Sur)/Poligono Industrial estate.
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto CV-935. Then at the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Av. Comunidad Europea. You’ll see Mercadona on your right, the Bar Tambalache Almoradi is on your left.
There’s plenty of on street parking available.
They used to have a Facebook and Ig page, but these look to be long abandoned, sadly.
