La Esquina Benejuzar Is Worth A Visit

La Esquina Benejuzar A Lovely Bar

HeyDaveHere, September 30, 2025September 30, 2025

Today we stopped off at La Esquina Benejuzar as we were passing the town and decided to have a drink. We have been here for a lunch a while back, but because we don’t often get into the centre of the town here at Benejuzar, it’s been a while.

It was rather a subdued day, thanks mainly to the overnight rain, the dark clouds in the sky that threatened further downpours. Luckily for us, these held off, but regardless, we did sit indoors here.

What We Had

As it was mid way between breakfast and lunch, we were going to just have a drink, but as we walked in a guy was just getting a tostada brought to his table. It looked good, so we decided to have a quick bite to eat too.

Drinks.

It was the Coke Zero for Soph, but this was a large bottle serving. My sister and I both had a lovely cafe con leche, which came with a biscuit too. The coffees were very nice, a smooth drink.

Food.

We all had a tostada, Soph had just with tomato for her choice. My sister and I went for the tomato, cheese, and Serrano ham.

Sophie said hers was tasty though being a picky so and so found the bread a little too darkly toasted for her taste though my sister and I really loved ours. The cheese was flavoursome and the Serrano was a good portion and very tasty.

What We Liked

Friendly and welcoming service. The place was clean and tidy, tables cleaned down as soon as people were leaving. I popped into the loo for a pee and the gents was spotlessly clean and fresh smelling.

The drinks were good and the tostadas were very good. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outside. Menus are available and the menu del dia offering is well promoted too.

What Could Be Improved

Based on the visit today, there were no negatives at all. Service was good, no delays or anything. It would though be nice to see them update their Facebook page more frequently so we don’t miss out on what’s happening.

What Did It Cost

A grand total of 12.40€, for the three drinks and three tostadas.

Drinks were very reasonable, the cafe con leche were 1.50€ each and the large Coke was 2.00€. The tostadas with tomato were 1.20€, with the additional toppings being charged as extras. Serrano ham was 1.10€, the lovely cheese was .80c so our tomato, cheese and Serrano ones came in at 3.10€ each.

Would We Return To La Esquina Benejuzar

Yes, if we were in the town centre. Today we fell lucky regarding parking, there was one space at the end of a street, which we just managed to get, so it was a short stroll to this bar.

They promote their menu del dia both inside on printed menus and also on the A-board outside. They update their dish of the day too, which was listed as chicken done in the oven. We did enjoy our lunch at La Esquina Benejuzar previously and would come back to eat at some point in the future.

By the looks of things they run a daily 2 for the price of 1 offer on canas, between noon and 2pm. On their Instagram account, they mention they have 3 branches, Orihuela, Bigastro and obviously here in Benejúzar. We will possibly find time to visit one of the other locations too, at some point.

How To Find La Esquina Benejuzar

If you know the area, they are on the corner ( hence the name ) of the square where the town hall is situated. it’s hard not to notice La Esquina Benejuzar from here.

They have a phone number advertised which is 616 66 82 20 and also their address is listed as:

Pl. España, 2, 03390 Benejúzar, Alicante

If you know where the Vega Fibre shop and office is, then you are there!
